Hi to everybody. A friend of mine wants to know wether this case has anything to do with militaria collecting or not. The fact is that he received it with a purchased Mutterkreuz inside. It might be a post war box for a different purpose, but I'd like to know if it's german and war period or not. Maybe there are more examples and I haven't noticed them... It also came with a thin paper inside (like that kind of paper used to wrap the medals when they were awarded).

I'm afraid I've no idea on this one, I've never seen the likes before actually !
The serial number leads me to think first off, the box what ever the era was not intentially going to be used for the MK.
It could be a retailers box of a description, not to be confused with those deemed by collectors as the ''generic'' pattern's, which are a different kettle of fish.
