                  Hi Bob,


                  It's what I call a 'slime' case, the outer covering being so smooth and the application not being the best cut and paste; alot of guys hark on about these being 1957 sorts, I don't agree.

                  To me though this is a period case, pre 1945. I'd substantiate it a bit further but I don't have my files to hand at this very moment.
