                  That's a real beaut!

DKs in Silver are very under-rated, in my opinion.

Deschler DKs are the best quality of them all, and that one's a real stunner.

                    Robin,

                    Thank You!

Coincidentely, I checked your book "Medals And Decorations Of Hitler's Germany" to be sure that I was quoting the proper manufacturers as I was posting.

                    Best regards,
                    Ron

                      Ron.

                      Here's a funny thing I have.

It's definitely a Deschler DK......................with the distinctive Deschler wreath....................

...........but the pin is marked '20' for Zimmermann!

I've had it for 30 years and have never seen another.

I don't know what the explanation is, but I don't buy the story about Zimmermann buying stocks from Deschler and then marking them up. It doesn't make sense to me.

                            Hi

Is it possible that the DKiG is a Deschler and it went back for a repair to the pin and a Zimmerman pin was added?

                            Raymond

Good thinking Raymond. That's a possibility, as the Deschler and Zimmermann pins are pretty much identical.

There's no sign of the pin having been repaired, but it's not impossible.
