Westwall Case

So first thing I should say is that neither of these cases are mine and these are the only pictures I have of them. One is a friends and one of them is currently on EBay (the devil). I have read all the post on the Westwall case and from what I've read I believe that both of these are fake. But I would like to hear some comments on the cases. Preferably why these cases are considered fake. I know that just because an item doesn't glow under black light doesn't mean that it's time period but it defiantly makes me feel better. The first Westwall posted does not glow under black light. If anyone has any pictures of one that is considered time period then a post of the pic would be greatly appreciated.

This actual case is a fake, both are ! The case is made in Germany by a quality award case maker that still produces award cases to this very day. They make several fakes to this day including the RK Ldo case a presentation Gold CCC case for a couple.If you go on German e bay and do a searh they list all their cases.In my opinion there was a presentation hard case for the West Wall medal.

The assertion was that it was a fantasy piece, not a fake. My point was that, while I'm not aware of any evidence that there ever was such a case, it is not possible to say that there definitely wasn't.

For Fuhrer & Fatherland shows two examples but he stresses that they were "probably restricted to very special awards" (one of the ones shown is supposed to be ex-Victor Lutze). Not likely to be available on ebay I guess...

James my response was aimed towards Kenneth as he posed, ''why are they considered fake ?'' So rather than go all around houses I responded as I did to conclude that question on these very shown cases. It is such like examples that Terry talks of that I'm only aware of.

What makes them distinguishable as being made by the current German manufacterer?
