The KVK box was bought in the early 90's to a "famous" french dealer a St Ouen fleamarket. The KVK itself is a Floch. I was lucky he sold me a Floch EKI in a real D&B box...

      Hi Francois,

No the base for the EK case is just fine and genuine, no problems there - a good case

This one the KVK came in......uummm, not sure I'm overly keen on the way we can see the cardboard through the slit and the material dosen't seem to have ever been poked through and glued on the underside at all.

The material itself is not one I seem to recognise/relate to any form of case I can think of.

The lid portion: the material there looks rather modern looking and the strip across the 'hinge' area (the piece joining top and bottom half of the case) stretching across the whole length like that - it really makes me wonder about this case.

The outer covering eludes me, I can't recall anything like it....not that against the norm and convention is a bad indication necessarily.

My gut feeling tells me this is likely post war I'm afraid, but of course I could be wrong.

Thanks a lot for your help .

Maybe the KVK box must be posted in the fake section subforum. The faker made certainly more than one.
