Opinions Sought On This RK Case

    Hello

Could I please ask the case experts to have a look at this RK case. I have my own opinion on it, but as I know very little about cases I would be extremely grateful for your opinions on it.

The case is 146.47mm long, by 79.93mm wide and 25.12mm in height. All the metal parts are magnetic and the entire case is UV negative, (including the white card strip, lining etc).

All comments and observations warmly welcomed.

    Many thanks.

    Regards
    David

It's an early 57 RK case.

                        I can only agree.

                          Hello

Thanks for the comments. That is, and was before I made this post, also my opinion; just nice to have confirmation.

What would you feel, looking at the photos, is the likelyhood that any wartime parts were used in the construction of this case ?

                          Thanks.

                          Regards
                          David

I think the giveaway (for me) of an early '57 case as opposed to a pre-1945 case is the fact that the lid section is slightly thicker/taller than the base section, also the leather-effect paper covering is slightly glossy.
