Ek2 doesn't fit, does anyone know if NSDAP LS would. My regular LS fits fine. It's what came in it.Comment

Hey guys,
The NSDAP sorts had their own guise of long cardboard case, the Faithfull Service 25 Year and why not the 40 and maybe even 50 Year too, appear to be the sorts that fit in this slightly smaller recess.
I'm still not 101% convinced, but will go along with this notion that these cases are indeed for the FS award as it is a good fitting theory.
I incidently have a brown one of these sorts of cases that houses an EK2 that has a price and retailors label.

Gents, is there any other theory as to what is going on here? I wouldn't think the cases were ek2 cases that weren't up to specs, and were used for FS awards. But, I don't understand what was wrong with the nice rectangular cases I have always seen these awards in, either. Has anyone ever found another medal in one of the LDO cases like the one I posted? Exactly Charlie - we're on the same wave length me thinks: why an Ldo sales case when there was already an ample enough case for the use of and certainly a paper packet for the 40 year !!!
So whats going on then ???
I also don't really subscribe fully to the idea that a box that looks like the EK2 Ldo sorts has a recess smaller by a knats whisker and at that made intentionally for an award like the FS cross which wouldn't have exactly been like 'hot cakes' and being sold out of outlets at a good profit rate of knots.
It all just dosen't make sense to me

I was at the SOS Saturday, and saw one just like it, with the ek2 sitting above the indentation. It clearly wouldn't fit, either. Unfortunatly there was no one at the table I could ask about it. CharlieComment
