Ok so first thing I should say is that I think it's bad but would like to be surprized. Anyway at first my rational mind said no way, but then my greed took over and I told myself it could be a late war box. But now that Mr. greedy has left my rational mind alone I think it's a repro. Please let me know what you guys think.

I put this pic in because I noticed that the piece that holds the top and bottom together is sewen. I thought that, that was interesting. Another thing is that the same material that is used for the bottom is also used to the top. Also interesting.

Nothing wrong with this case ! This is a genuine case by the looks, the outer covering, catch, Ldo logo the liner and base and hinge covering all perfectly normal for this type of encountered case.

It's a latter war example, not forgetting the catch and hard shell this isn't as late in evolution terms (for a guide) as some examples of this type - of these types when you tie them into comparsion of other sorts (Luft etc) we have patterns of reference.

There is a fake out there which is as near as damn it spsot on, it has a couple of failings though.

There is also a couple of more recent hard shell sorts too. I've finised one article and in the middle of the other....but there are threads I've waffled in that show these fakes in.

I'm going off on a waffle marathon.......it's genuine
