Thats what I thought. A feature of the earlier cases.

I too believe in the RK Ldo cases and this one Allan is not one of the fakes I am aware of.

Earlier yes as this is the earlier Ldo logo form, which looks great and then they changed it to that crappy logo in a rectangle.

Now these catches, these differ from latter mushrooms if I recall and this exact type guys I think should match the 14-18 Hind.Honour Cross cases which are wartime made cases and the early war at that with this mushroom catch type (I think the Hind HC's you see for sale today at dealers where solely examples made as sets for the retail trade pre Ldo - cases being non issue on the whole and certainly mades in their hundreds of thousands and more on top of that !!!)

As for dishes or circular recesses in the area for the cross this is one of those areas to be careful of as fakes also have this trait - well, thats six of one half a dozen of the other.

I wasn't aware of this in the RK Ldo case form. So something learn't today already.

How does Pieter feel about these Allan ??? He must have one or two or three !!

Thanks Allan...let's see if we can 'sway' the Jury one way or the other

I'll play Prosecuter and argue against!

I will do so later this afternoon Albert!

In the meantime and for discussion, has anyone seen an early case w/ the later type hinge utilizing the (^^^^^^^) method of attachment rather than the little pins/nails?
                            Regards,
                            Dave

                              Hello-

The LDO case does not look so good. The hinge does not look good for an early case.
