EK1 Spange Carton

    EK1 Spange Carton

    trying to learn about these i came across this one and was sort of on the fence with it. the side script appears to have all the details that have been considered good. on the other hand, the K appears to have the gap, and the crooked long leg. i compared it to the one pictured on williamson's the iron cross of 1939 and they appear to be the same. i would like to open this one for discussion.

        Because we chat via e mail I was letting the others have a go.

        Where's Harry, Rene, Thomas, Giel, Tom, Charlie etc etc etc etc Uuuumm Darrel might like this one too (sorry if I missed your names guys, you know who you all are )

        Is JP correct in his thoughts I wonder ?


        (There are two distinct types in this Mayer carton for the spange of course)

              Hi Toby,

              Appears there were two variations of the BH Mayer Spange Cartons. One like yours (and shown in Gordon's Iron Cross of 1939) and one like mine (shown in Detlev's Price Guide 2).

              I'd say both are fine
