Knights Cross Case 1939

Here is a Knights Cross case I have which I would like to share with you. I sent this to Kevin Verbeeck some months ago for opinion as he was looking for an original RK case. I knew Kevin was going to show it to Peter and some others and I was glad of the oportunity of advice.

The consensus came back that it is a post-war case with a Pre-1945 interior!

What do you think of that?

That case looks very much like the cases I have seen being made in Tony Yeomans workshop,not saying it is but it looks a lot like them.

Now, there is a definite post-war case that is very like this, only that the lid portion is thicker/higher than the base portion......but this one..I dunno..

Anyway, the pre/post war issue is not what I am trying to focus on, what I am trying to explore is whether anyone has experience of a mix of pre-and post-war parts used in a case!!!
