History and Views on EK1 Green Cases?

Hello All,

I am searching for more information on the EK1 Green Cases?

I have purchased one some months back through a german dealer who could'nt really explain their origin or rarity. Intrigued, I blindly purchased it with its L/56 Funcke & Bruninghaus Iron Cross.

I have had some comments from an american dealer who said that the Green cases ONLY came with the "65" Klein und Quenzer EK1's.

Can any wise words help me out on this?

I'd like more info if any one has heard anything or owns one.
