That's strange?

Hi there

I just got this Ostmedaille packet. It's not strange that someone cut of the top, that's just let say "not nice"

What is strange to me, is that the this C. F.Zimmermann packet is also marked L/52. I have never seen or heard of a Ldo Ostmedaille. I do know that it's not very clear in the picture, but it's there

They exist mate L marked Ost medals, I think Chet has one or two, this type of stamping on the packet is uncommon yes, but is encountered unlike yourself not many people notice what they have you see this more on wound badge packets more than others.

Ldo specific printed and intended (unlike your post Ldo stamped and originally intended maker marked generic packet version) Ost packets do exist as I recall that all are marked L/55 (that I recall) Wacthler & Lange of course.

The medals inside as far as I'm aware and my examples are unmarked in this instance.

Remember not all awards were Ldo marked, there's more info relating to this on the forum and in books, but many Ldo packeted/boxed awards are certainly not L marked.
