I have an M16 Imperial helmet that once had several shipping labels attached. Under a blacklight, the remaining traces of glue used to attach those labels, glow in the same manner as described here....sort of a semi-bright dingy yellow glow.

Thanks Imperial Quest I was beginning to think that my glue was the only one that acted like this . My glue looks old and original but I guess there are some old things that do glow or show up bright under black light.

Hi Bruce (and fellow Texan). I plan to post this helmet soon, and will photo the areas under the blacklight. This particular example is an M16 camo that has never been in a collection, until now. It came from the estate of a very elderly lady up North. I am convinced that it is totally original, and in untouched condition. I only wish the labels were still there.

Unfortunately, I cannot get the photos to show the effect that we were discussing. No matter how or what I did, the photos just show a purple light-not the yellow glowing effect.

Imperial Quest I was hoping to see them. All I did was turn out the regular lights, shine a fluorescent black light on the area and used a Cannon G2 with a closeup lens.

In my opinion much more then we think will glow under blacklight. FranklyI have about zero faith in the blacklight test's validity..............
