    Animal Glue

Does the animal glue used in the cases and cartons glow yellow under black light ? My case for a mm26 has quite a bit of glue on the inside holding the insert in and it took quite a bit of work to get it up. The glue that held it in place looks like the animal glue I've seen in other pictures but it glows yellow under black light, is that the way it should be ? Also their are traces of glue on top of the insert and all around the inside of the case and even a small spot on the outside of the card board carton. It looks like they were kind of sloppy with the glue when putting this case together. The glue looks old and the case, carton and EK1 also look old but still I was wondering .

                          Hi Bruce,

Case and carton are just fine, the glue glow's ? Are you sure is not a reflective occurance rather than glow as such due to the substance ?

Anyway, despite what may or may not glow, everything looks fine to includung he outer carton, which is the genuine style of lettering, the fakes being just different of course.

Now then this glue on the outer carton, I'm not sure thats possible at all, in fact very unlikely and is perhaps where a sticky price tag has been at one time or some other viscous stuff.

Don't worry, you have a nice little lot.

Here's a thread with a few deductions in progress on the outer carton.

The first picture is taken using a black light only in a dark room and the glue shows up a brighter yellow in person under the black light then in the picture. Thanks
