these are considered fakes, at least on this forum. I have seen several dealers, incl Weitze and Kai Winkler selling these as original.

    kai winkler, see number 15179

        Gents,
I am moire than happy to be educated, but "IMO" or "are considered fakes on this forum" does not add anything to my knowledge or that of others. Please give me some pointers as to why you believe these are fake.
George, please remove my thread from e-stand: I don´t want to sell any fakes (real or assumed).
        Thanks and regards,
        Sandro

Yes these are fakes, I've established these as fakes via means of *'science' in addition to other means, (*i.e ink and paper age and qualities determination) they are not even a copy of a genuine style of designation that is known of to my knowledge !!

The paper is good granted, I'll give them credit for that. You get these in two colours tan and blue and they're the most common fake packet and oldest in circulation wise. You can pick these up with unfolded flaps in bundles etc and just about every where and an array of stories surround them in an effort to support their existance !!

There are no if's, but's or and's on these, they are fake, univocally, indubitably, unequivocally of a post war composition and construction, ink and paper.

There is not one ounce of contary evidence to support other than all examples of this guise (construction and style) are fake. I know they are the fake sellers know they are, why not other dealers.........?

Thanks Markus, that is a bit of helpful info. As I said in my original threat, I******180;m no expert on these. Thanks George for removing the thread, as I said, it******180;s not my intention to sell fakes.

Don't worry Sandro, to many people are still 'unaware' of these as fakes.

Noone here thinks you intentionally tried to sell a fake; they've caught out many a experienced collector and those not so conversed too.

I was duped myself and bought two in good faith and ignorance many years ago now, it's part and parcel of this hobby I'm afraid.

While collectors on this forum are informed, exposure to such is not widespread as of yet to the whole scale of the community.

A few of my 'findings' have spread now, the 'Hansen-Hausen conclusion', the 'catch head observations' and 'cellophane packet deduction', dealer and author use (have) or are useing them and of course my target the collector.

                  All in good time.

Charlie, there's a pic of one in the fakes forum bit concerning packets and cases. I think it's the first packet in there posted by me, it has a left hand fold (on the reverse) to recognise it for a start.

Here is the desigantion, print this off and keep it with at shows or keep it on file, just remember this EXACT desigantion, not similar and avoid it.

There are similar genuine examples (in fact many, with spaced digits, styles of lettering etc), bear this one in mind as it is the most frequent one you'll encounter in the UK.

This one also comes in different colours too - I've seen blue and tan ones although the tan ones are rarer.

                          Regards ...

I have had the pleasure of having one in my collection, I did like the packet, but gave it back after comments from the forum.
