    Cased Ostfront Medal

I posted on another forum some pics of a Cased Russian Front Medal which I bought a couple of years ago together with a cased EKII.

Allan Pilcher and Marcus Hatton have asked me to post some more pics on this forum so here they are. I'll add shots of the cased EKII when I have more time.

Never saw that before! If original (which I personally think) you have one unique box over there
                  Kind regards,

Yep, it looks like a black Honour Cross case with an adapted (made for) base.

Can I see the catch please.

Here is an Honour Cross case to compare.

Don't pay ant attention to the lid liner or catch at this moment as the shell case was in production for many years with various forms of catch.

Stans is along the lines of the HC concept of ribbon 'compartment' built into the base, the only difference is the stencil stamp of course.

This one is 'latter' therefore has a cardboard supplement base covering, earlier versions as a norm have a thick gauge quality paper.
