Is the clear glue that has been used to assemble this box an acceptable sign?
    Regards.

Yes and know, many fakers colour the glue now also. Theres abundant factors to consider also, enviroment, chemical contact etc etc etc Not to mention the base which the glue precides on.

It's as much collector myth as it is part truth to say animal glue should be toned to a dull dark colour in my opinion.

Pretty much like, 'it smells' and 'feels old' really....to an extent yes, in some instances. But I don't really heed to these if honest. Some will perhaps disagree and may want to their express methods or experience. If it all helps............

Don't dismiss the above certainly, it's a combination of many things to look out for and recognise.

I am not an expert at pre 1945 items , i stated that if it isn't a pre 1945 case ( i leave that expertise to Marcus ) then it is a reproduction . As it is not a 1957 case .

              Hi all,
Yes, the impression of an imperial EK inside the lid of the box is because the owner (my friend) bought it with a fake Imperial EKI inside. I guess it was there long time to leave the mark.
Thanks all for your comments, I´m waiting for other pictures of "the underside of the black velvet inseert, and the white material seperating the top and bottom of the case" as Allan Pilch requested.

              Thanks very much,
              Adolph & Mate.
