    IAB packet

Hi guy, do any of you can tell me if this iab packet is a fake or an original? I can't help a lot, except to say that the packet got an old smell ( I know its sound weird, but I've hold many original ek2 packet or pre-45 paper that had that kind of smell). The paper seems ( am not sure though) to be be made witht he same kind of paper than the normal ek2 packet. Anyway, I will let the picture do the rest of the talking.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Franko,

I saw this one and didn't know, I still don't in all honesty.

    There's a couple of traits I can see I like then there's traits I don't like

I'm 50/50 and would like to study this one in hand.

I've neither seen a good or bad one like it, I do have a Deumer marked packet for an IAB but it's altogether different and in my opinion ok (my example)

I'll keep my eyes open for examples like this and I'll have to get back to it at a later date, this one has me stumped right now.

PS I knew I should have bought it

It looks like the scrawl fake paper packet, and it has the blott's and undefined designation and maker mark that we could attribute to a fake perhaps. The desigantion also looks a tad thin too ? It could well be a fake with a different style of writting for a change than the scrawl fraktur we commonly see.

It then has a more correct looking maker mark, it's placement is more acceptable than most (if it is) fakes and the CH is correctly close in the designation.

I'm not aware of any fakes similar, so I'm cautious on this one......we do have an odd genuine WB packet by this maker which defies all sense to be genuine, and however is good.

It's an in hand inspection/deliberation that will produce the opinion from me on this one.

I've been studying the pictures and it could well be a scrawl paper packet....we will get to the bottom of this one though very soon

            Hi guys,

I'm back on my own computer now, so I have access to my files at last

Ok, I'm sorry to deduce in my opinion Frank that this is indeed fake.

Here we have another of this series, type 3. fake (type 1. being the scrawl fake and so on)

Sorry to not have spotted at the time, here is another example of the type 3 fake.
