    Storing of packets/cases

    Hello all

I have a question: What is the best way to store packets (with or without cross) that you can't show in a show-case?

Should I use acid free paper bags or small plastic bags or .....?

And how should someone store cases?

How do you store your stuff?

    Thanks, Thomas

I use acid free paper, wrap the packets and cases up in it and store away!!

For packets, I like archival inert MYLAR envelopes. They are available in any sports card shop and have an adhesive flap for sealing, which can be opened and closed hundreds of times. They come in different sizes and are perfect as you can see the complete packet through the MYLAR.

For cases, I have not found a product that allows display so I keep them wrapped in archival acid-free paper, unless on display, in a room with UV protected glass or sleeves for any fluorescent bulbs.

        Hi Bob,

Can you show a pic of this MYLAR product, to your knowledge is this product only available in the States ?

I'm the same as Allan on this one and would suggest Bob's approach with perhaps something also to control the humidity to an extent, if only the little crystal packs (I can't think what the hell you call them now....3 days off the forum and I'm all up hill and down dale )

Bob I like your suggestion to use MYLAR envelopes. I will look if I can get them in Holland.
