Opinions on RK Case and Ribbon

I would appreciate any views as to whether this case and ribbon are pre 1945.

    Thanks,
    Steve

                Hi Steve,

I don't know where my better moderator half is, but he's best to comment on this one.

Personally, I'm not overly keen on this one for a wartime period case, although it has a rounded catch, the outer covering is not what I'd expect. A '57 perhaps. I don't know ?

Can anyone help on this please ?

Not wartime in my opinion. I have not seen this kind of embossed paper covering on even the '57 versions. Also, the case is a bit 'high', the base section being alot thicker than the lid section. The ribbon is hard to tell from the pic, it has a nicely scalloped border, but do a white stitch count. Anything less 23 would be a bit suspect.......

Steve, without doubt a modern reproduction! The ribbon doesn't present well either.
                    Regards,
                    Dave

I just noticed the attachments on the ribbon for fixing it to a collar, I doubt such flimsy threads would do to support a RK in wear...

Yep, I have to agree with Marcus Harry & Dave. I would say a post war case for sure.

Also, the ribbon doesn't look period to me.
