EK11 packet, interesting

Here is a interesting packet.

A similar one, if not identicle, appears on page 54 of Gordon Williamsons book on the Iron Cross.

With the EK11 and ribbon comes a saftey pin marked 'PRYM'.

The EK is on the heavy side. I'll weigh it later, can't find my scales!!

If im not that wrong the EK is a Dechler maker nr 1. I got a blue packet but that can also be ok for him as for some others.

Interesting as these packets are commonly found with the 27 in or is it the 28.....I can't recall as I write this exactly, they're synonymous anyway with the Maria/Anton Schenkl's legacy thats been deliberated from time to time.


27 I think.

Here's two of mine. Deschler, well I've large blue packet style in a couple of forms, and other award packets of different natures for this maker but I've not as yet seen one in the tan packet like this Allan. Not that concludes a thing....it's all open ground on these.

I'd be tempted thinking out aloud though, to think perhaps this could well be a married couple ?? I don't know, just a thought and I'd guess likely ?

The pin, thats a nappy pin Allan ..you must remember them too, and your Mum boiling the nappies. Kids today, easy life
