          Hello,

Both packets look good to me. The EK2 packet is for a cross by Maria Schenkl of Vienna. The maker marking for this packet would be on the packet flap, which is missing on your example. Many of these packets are found with the top of the packet cut off. I have a feeling that the manufacturer did this at the end of the war as Maria Schenkl no longer wanted to be associated with the production of Nazi medals. Iron Crosses by Maria Schenkl were marked with the number ‘27’ on the suspension ring.

          Best regards,
          Tom

That EK2 packet can also be found with the marking Anton Schenkl’s Nachfolger of Vienna (Anton Schenkl’s successor). Maria Schenkl being Anton’s successor.

            Best regards,
            Tom

                Yes, both packets original.

As Tom has said, the EK2 packet is for a cross by Maria Schenkl.
