New arrival. Never wanted to spend the amount of money that a nice example commands, but then I read Jason D Mark's excellent book "Besieged, The Epic Battle for Cholm"...

It's a "Long M" with the die flaw on the swastika.

I knew it would be in the (then) upcoming auction so while at the MAX I examined a couple and got a feel for current pricing. I think I did well based on the direct purchase prices at the show.

To be honest when I saw your pictures I had some serious doubts about the originality of this shield.
The additional pictures from Ratisbon made all the difference.

Without a doubt an original long "M" Cholm shield in very nice condition.
