Could I ask for some opinions on this Narvik shield? I think it looks promising.

This is for sale at an auction site and it ends tomorrow. I would really appreciate some help here….

Looks like an original Deumer type shield to me, only the double striking of the propeller looks odd to me.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, now I see, it indeed looks like a first version Deumer. Not sure what that is with the propellar, maybe some shadows creating the impression of double strike? See something similar around parts of the anchor.

I´m looking at the example in Your Narvik shield thread and notice that the first version Deumer has a back plate that is trimmed to match the outline of the shield and the second version has not. Should all first versions have the trimmed backplate?
