    Vet bring-back HJ cufftitle question

    Hello everyone,

I had a question about the origins of this cufftitle. Does anyone have any information about it? My grandfather fought in North Africa and Italy with the U.S. 34th Infantry Division. Right after the war he worked with counter-intelligence and then he was the Provost Marshall of Florence, Italy until 1947.

At one point he drove a couple of German general POWs back to their homes after the war and they gave him these items in the picture as a "thank you". I'm not sure if the HJ cufftitle was part of that story, but it's my understanding that it was. It has spent the past 70 years in his scrapbook. My grandfather passed away in 1992 so sadly I can't ask him any follow-up questions.

    Thanks for your help!
    Jordan

A beautiful set of items (the general collar tabs and German cross are remarkable). I have never seen such a cuff title myself before. I really hope someone can shed some light on it.

And also if it helps with discovering the origins of the cufftitle, here are some Italian badges that my grandfather brought back after the war as well:

That’s one unusual cufftitle. Reminds me of the Marine Helferin CT. You might want to post it in the section dealing with HJ. jim

Thank you for the comments. I'll post some better pictures here for reference and try the HJ forum as well.

We've discovered what this cuff is!!

Here is the link to the other thread:
                  http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=969082

"Very rare cuff. It was worn by HJ members of Sturmbootflotille 1, which was introduced in October of 1944. They were trained by NSKK, and were attached to the KM as small fighting units."

I’ve been collecting for going on 20 years and this is the first one that I have seen. Perhaps I missed it, but do these rare cufftitles ever go up for sale? Dealer sites?
