Rather than start a new thread I'll post here if it's okay. Found this listed as unissued and geniune. I would like one to put aside my afrika campaign medal. Is it okay?

The other 'tell' with these is the O, it should be round on the reverse and a not a diamond shape as the fake ones are.

Agree the tartan weave fake is sometimes. Called the diamondback fake.

Agree most of the AKCT's were issued but not worn on tunics.
They just were put away in a drawer somewhere. I asked one Afrika Korps vet why so few were worn in Afrika & he said why would you wear an AKCT in Afrika ? Everybody there already knows your there.

British Africa veterans brought a lot back to Britain that were issued as well
