The russian "naysayer" are having an heart attack reading that the Maedicke shields existed before the Breslau find!
They are also having an heart attack reading that existed some books printed in other languages!
Vladimir, fakers started their production at least in '60, and every year surface new fakes on market. It is impossible say when they are made. Please, you collected really a lot of poor showings, I think you should stop. And you should read some old posts and buy some more books, not in russian, but in english and german if you really want do serious researches.
For example: Maedicke shields were already on the market in '60, you can see another of these shields published on pag. 143 of the book: "Orders, decorations, medals and badges of the Third Reich" of Littlejohn and Dodkins.
Is this enough to stop you talking about the Bresalu find?Last edited by Antonio Scapini; 02-16-2017, 01:39 PM.
My books:
- THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
- THE SS TK RING
- THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
- THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
- THE AWARDS OF THE LW
and more!

Nice to see that this shield went to a dedicated and knowledgeable collector.
I think even rarer are the Maedicke shields with pins. I think these are earlier as the ones with tabs and the very few I've seen are all in a reasonable good condition.
