Bought it off eMedals (tremendously good service as always). Any idea who the maker might be? Unknown, etc.? Did the research on here for what to look for. Everything looks good, and the notch in the coast is there. You just can't see it well in the first pic.

But the paper, I think rearranged
I believe the shield is 100% original and the backing paper too.
I have the same type of shield in my collection with the exact same backing paper of which I am 100% sure that the shield as the backing paper are original.

Thanks fellas
I just know how many fakes are out there (and ridiculous looking at that).
I wanted a shield for my collection of Romanian/German medals since that is my particular area of interest, and this one looked absolutely gorgeous!
P.s. I think the paper is just throwing you off Trade31. It looks like it has had pressure on it over time, therefore you can see the outline of the metal backing and prongs poking through. Also, there is what looks like black fuzz fibers that have attached themselves to it. Looks like it was under a cloth or something. But thanks guys, I feel the shield bug biting
