Any thoughts on this one? Looks like a long M variant to me in very nice condition.

Hi Brian, I agree with you it is a beautiful shield. Probably the back paper was added later, but this is IMO not relevant for a rare and nice shield like this.

Back paper may not be added on above shield. This one came directly from the veteran shown here. Paper looks similar.

Thank you for the comments. I was able to buy it from an old collection. When I sold my shield collection a few years ago I figured I would never find a replacement as nice. Very happy to say I did.
