2 "Deumer" Narviks and 2 Krims

    Hello All,

I recently lucked into acquiring 4 barter/sales boards which include the following 4 campaign shields. All of the other pieces that I see are marked, are either marked "L/11" or "3". The two Narviks are the "late" Type 2s and perhaps, more circumstantial evidence for the Type 2 being a "Deumer". Are the Krims Deumers? None of the four are magnetic.

The seller, to my utter horror, pulled the silver Narvik off the board in front of the intermediary buyer, popping the pins (of which, I was able to recover 3 of them). Lesson here; while most of the badges are secured by twine, I don't think I'll be unbending any of the tabbed badges. It did offer the opportunity to photograph the reverseā€¦

    All comments are appreciated.

    Regards,

    Eric

              Hi Eric,

Wow! Four Deumer display boards. Congratulations to you! If you get a chance, could you post pictures of the boards in their entirety. I would love to see them.

As far as the shields go, all four are Deumer-products, IMO, and very nice too. I would expect them all to be non-magnetic since they are zinc.

              Thank you & best regards,
              Tom

You have 4 very nice original shields, I agree with Antonio and Kraut.

                    Thank you all!

The two Badge boards appear to be Deumers, the Tinnie boards look to be a mix. I will post pictures and a link as soon as I can.

                    Regards,

                    Eric

                      Hi Eric,

I look forward to seeing the pictures. In the meantime, here is a Deumer Narvik Shield that I just got this past weekend. It reminds me of yours with the missing prongs. I have a feeling that this one was pulled off a Deumer display board as well.

                      Thank you and best regards,
                      Tom

Here is another example that I bought at this year's SOS. I know for a fact that this one was removed from a Deumer display board as the dealer had all fifteen pieces from the board as well as a photo of the board before it was dismantled. Surprisingly, though, this one still has all its prongs intact. It must have been removed from the board carefully.

                        Best regards,
                        Tom

                            Incredible, Tom.

Very similar boards. Here are some quick snapshots of mine with the typewritten lists (some of the descriptions are interesting) that accompanied them. I am planning to post better pictures when I can take them:

These were supposedly found in an attic and I did see the glass case they were found in - I have never seen some of these badges in such pristine condition - the RAD Long Service, CCC and others are knock outs! Of course, the finish on the zincers have been absorbed/dissipated the same as expected.
