Krim Shield for Review

Hi Mills......
......Yep. It's a bad one alright. It is always wise to check.
I got a good break on a zinc Krim off of eBay, back about the same time. There weren't any images. I asked the seller for pics, he emailed them to me. Turned out to be a good one. All the finish had disappeared, but it was good TR era. He honored the transaction, and sent it to me, letting me know what a great deal I got. I thanked him for being honest. It turned out I was the high bidder.....$18. It helped take the sting out of the $35 I lost on a fake bronze HA marked PAB(cave creek special) and a couple of bad EK1 that I also got juiced on($100). Ebay was a minefield, but fun. This forum saved me a bundle, and I had thought I knew alot.

Hey guys,
No apologies needed - I really appreciate you letting me know the truth. I think I paid ~$90 or $100 so it stinks but it could be a much, much worse. Just out of curiosity (and to hopefully to learn something from this) is there a tell-tale sign I missed that causes this to be fake? Again, just hoping to take away a lesson from this (besides buying off Ebay without checking the forum). http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...lewinkgrin.gif
Bruce - I completely agree with you about the forum saving money. I started collecting ~15 years go (in high school) and didn't join the forum until ~3 months; thus you'll see me posting things here and there for verification. I could live in ignorance but I really want to know what's real and how good a job I did (on telling good vs. bad).
Thanks again everyone!
