I think by the bad lettering this is either fake... or possibly theater made. But I wanted to post it for opinions. Did not glow. under blacklight BTW.

I don't want to just categorically crap on it, but my first reaction is like what you've expressed.

It's weird enough to where it could possibly have a chance, but if you have no solid provenance it would always be subject to criticism.

If you were in the market to buy it I'd say be safe and save your money for a textbook example.

Looks like a copy of the LW Afrika ct. When it comes to ct's, its better to stick to the standard versions, field made is another name for fakes....

I agree with Tim.
About this CT I would say it let me very suspicious, the way it is made with a double band is typical of fakes. Also the style of the letters let me think about a post war production.
Without a rock solid provenance, I would not want it in my collection.
