    AFRIKAKORPS cufftitle

    Is this one good?
I am very inexperienced with these and would appreciate help.
I read something about the tan on the outside being a postwar CT?
    Is this true?

    thanks,
    Brian

      thank you!

Is there truth to the tan edge meaning postwar?
Although this doesn't make sense to me as I don't know why they would issue TR campaign cufftitles after the war?

I tend to follow the general construction as my guide and not versions of shades.

Looks like a bit of over exposure, but the olive brown/tan was a later version. The second picture has more clarity.

I think it will have a new home with me.

I agree with the guys, a nice original CT.

              My books:

              - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
              - THE SS TK RING
              - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
              - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
              - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

              and more!

                Hi Brian

This is the later style tan version, These tan AKCT's were made too late to be worn in Afrika before the AKCT was discontinued (late '42). Only the earlier olive version was issued and worn in Afrika. The tan versions were found in bundles wrapped up at the end of the War & were never issued.

Many of these tan versions have rust stains from the wire holding them in the bundles. Take a look at the Kurtz Afrikakorps book, on page # 18 there is a tan version with the rust stains that has been attached to a tunic post War.....
