    Kreta Cufftitle Help Please

    Greetings gents,
    I've been trying to educate myself on these CTs and have read quite of number of threads here, covering things such as thin & thick Ts, leaf design, borders etc.

    I think this is an original example but one element that I'm unsure of is the weave of the cotton.
    There is also some white thread on the upper obverse of the "K".

    I'd really appreciate anyone taking the time to comment with your expertise on these specifics as well as the CT overall.

              I agree, it is an original wartime cufftitle and with the particularity that its band material is reversed. Usually this type of cotton is used for the back side of the Kreta cufftitles. The white threads on the upper "K" are due to the machine stitching, so no problems.

                Antonio, I see it now...the cotton weave I was looking for is on the back side.
                Is this seen on occasion or is this an anomaly?

                  Here is another that appears to be uniform removed.
                  It looks like a fine original to me although I'm not yet comfortable with my knowledge of the embroidery.
                  Is this what would be considered a textbook issued example?

                              Thanks for commenting on the cloth reversal Willi & Antonio; it is indeed interesting.
                              Would you suspect it's either an intended manufacturing variation or the embroiderer simply had the cloth loaded in reverse?
