    Cholm Cupal

    Hi gents,
May I have your opinions on this Cupal Cholm shield. This one seems has 3 prongs.
Is cloth or paper back looks period?
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrei

Hi Andrei, this shield is not original, and it is not made of cupal. Its metal is probably a cast, modern alloy.
Yes, there's a paper on the back, but this paper too is used very often on fake shields.

Andrei, I also have two of these I bought in the 80's only to find out they are post war, originals are very hard to find and when you do, you need lots of cash. Just my 2 cents worth. Ralph

          Andrei,
I told you it was a repro when I sold it to you, but it is always good to check when you think and hope it might be an original.

            Thanks guys,
as expected not a war time production. Shield is not magnetic.

Paper backing is hand cut, whihc is never a good sign.
