kurland
Dear Sir I am sorry I didnt put this on my last thread, the sight you directed me to shows the so called goldingen type which was issued to soldiers that were taken out of the kurland pocket and were issued with machine made titles ,these to me are not the original title, just an after thought.Joey

This cufftitle have some possibilities to be an original hand-made type and it cannot be compared with originals factory pieces.
Band material looks correct and embroidery looks believable, so I like what I see. BUT we must say that these CTs are always hard to judge without a solid provenance, because during the war were made a lot of different hand-made Kurland cufftitles.
I post some more hand-made cufftitles.

There were tons of hand made cufftitles! Please, I suggest you to make a search on this forum, I'm sure you will find some of them, also removed from tunics. Furthermore there are also some period pictures with hand-made cufftitles in wear.
Are these two period pictures I posted only "illusions" as you wrote? So they probably are period fakes made during the war that fooled the soldiers too...Attached Files
