Hi Gary,

Looks like an original in great condition. There are really good fakes of this type of Kuban Shield, but your appears to be a good one. I think this type was made of iron so check it with a magnet.

Also check this thread for some excellent info on this type of shield and the differences between an original and a fake of this type.
