    Sorry but this shield fake

The shield is IMO an original Friedrich Orth that someone has tampered with, cutting some parts between the eagle's head and the wings, or it was made with an early die. The side tabs too are unusual for this shield.
Maybe there's also the mm on the back side, a close up would be of help.

Here's the pictures of the shield.

Hi Antonio, I will take some close ups in the morning, forgive my ignorance but where would a makers mark be?
      Cheers - Greg

Not sure what to think. Not sure what kraut is trying to point out but right now I think it looks like an Orth

The wingspan perplexes me a bit

Interested to see what the outcome of opinions will be on this one. Been watching from a far for a bit on this one.

On this shield there are some die flaws that are present on the original Orth shields. I'd like to know what Pascal think about.

There are 3 bands, look at the back side and you will see them. So this is not a proof.

About the coastal lines not all the shields are perfects, so this cannot be in this case a proof.

There's rust on the Krim area of the shield, so it could be magnetic.

IMO opinion the shield is an original FO shield.
There are well known original known, late war, with side tabs but without the FO makers mark. Probably caused by a worn die as I have examples with the side tabs on which you hardly could see the makers mark.

Coming back this shield, the shield shows characteristics which I have only seen on original shields and which I have never seen before on fakes. Also the square (cut off) tab I have seen before on an original shield.

However what I never have seen before (fake or original) is the open area between the eagles head and his wing.

Thanks Pascal, I was not mistaken seeing in this one all the characteristics of the original Orth shields.
It is the first time for me too I see the cut out parts between the head and the wings. Couldn't it have been done by hands?

Please, you should also consider the light, and if you look better there are 3 bands. It is impossible to see 3 bands on the back side and only 2 in front, it is a logic question.

                          Hi,
I am with kraut72, not for me. Big give away is incorrect side tabs.

                            2. Weight
