    Infanterie Regiment List cuff title

Hi guys, here is a recent addition which came with a nice Heer Honour Roll Clasp, a rare Infanterie Regiment List cuff. It is actually really dark green which is almost black. UV negative and 18 inches long.
The Russian braid is lovely and detailed, the cuff appears unworn or lightly worn but has a few storage creases.
The background is that Hitler served in WW1 in the 16th Royal Bavarian Reserve Regiment "List", in 1935 elements of the Wermachts Infantry Regt 19 were chosen to carry on with the traditions of the regiment. There were a number of changes to this regiment after heavy losses and the "List" tradition was transferred to Grenadier Regiment 199 which was given the honour of being granted the authority to wear this cuff band.
Being issued only at regimental rather than divisional level makes this one of the rarest distinctive unit cuffbands from the TR period.
    Any comments/opinions are welcome.
    Cheers - Greg

can't tell you if its original but if it is very rare one thing im curious about as it might be my computer but it looks like there is an outline (in black) around the letters this can be seen better in your third picture?

I think it may be the angle of my photos, there is obviously slight indentations to the material where the thread enters it but I cannot see anything like a pen mark outline etc.

I showed the cuff to Gary Wood (mod on SS forum) today, he performed the 'burn' test on various threads and all was ok.
I suspect there are not more comments because of the rarity

I agree they are rare. I provided a photo of my List cufftitle which came in a German vet home made wall plaque. Unfortuneately, the vet trimmed the title to make it fit. Rich

I haven't seen this one yet but I like the font style and I can imagine it is rare! Good finds to both of you!

Very nice Rich, I usually prefer my cloth items to be worn but the construction and condition of this one is great

Here is a textbook original cuff that just arrived. It has been tunic removed and the ends of the cuff were actually sewn through the sleeve seam hence the heavy wear on them from inside the sleeve. The Russian braid is really interesting as it has two separate weaves in it, top and bottom.
This is an exact match to one that Kai Winkler has for sale currently, a very rare cuff!
