Afrika korps cuff title - Authenticity help requested

    Hello everyone,

This is my last item i would like to check up on. It is an Afrika korps cuff title. for those not familiar with my knights cross post, I purchased this item about 10 years ago from a collector from "Academy coins & Militaria".

The story I got with the cuff title was that the collector had purchased it from a British WW2 veteran that brought back a spool of cuff titles from a German supply house while in Germany in July, 1945 and that this piece was cut from that spool. Whether it was true or not, I am not sure so I am hoping the experts here can add credibility to the tale.

Thank you for any and all assistance and have a Merry Christmas.

First welcome to the Forum. Lots of great people and info here.
Sorry the AKCT is a standard fake from the 70's. Tartan weave, diamond shaped "O" etc.

A tale is simply a tale, nothing more. Buy the item not the words.
And as Tim said this cufftitle is a well known fake.

      My books:

      - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
      - THE SS TK RING
      - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
      - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
      - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

      and more!

Thank you for the welcome. I had a feeling about this cuff title for the last couple of years so I am quite happy to learn what it is.

again evaluate the item and not always the story. Its a classic fake tartan weave. Matt
