Warschauschild Order from 8.1.1945

I really don't know too much about the Warschauschild expect for the many fakes floating around however at the Bundesarchiv I found the attached, the Führerbefehl from 8. Januar 1945 for the award regulations for the Warschauschild.
It is very interesting to note the specifications for the foreign troops fighting within the Wehrmacht or Police.

Interesting what you found...
The Warschau schield was instituted on december 10 1944 (Verordnung uber die Stiftung des Warschauschildes vom 10. Dezember 1944) and officially this regulation was published on Reichsgesetzblatt (Teil I) of january 9 1944.

We know also this shield was awarded on Soldbuchs but never produced.

Interesting. Were there any ever produced.

I remember as a kid in 70's I saw Warschau shield on display in Polish Army Museum in Warsaw. In Victory Room there was a pile of German awards and medals in a glass cabinet. Among them was that shield. During later times I didn't see it after they made some changes to the displays there. Later I was always wandering, what happened to it and was it real or not.
