    Instant cuff title collection

Shame the vet was handy with a pair of scissors. The Theodor Eicke is a real tough one to find

      !!!!

He should have just taken the whole Tunic and would have been better off for it now anyway....i know space was an issue for them but some extra smokes to the S-4 and he could have had them shipped home.

        Nice find!

Even if shortened, these are very nice historical memories.

        Cheers

I think most of the tunics these were cut off of may have been more fit for burning than shipping home, they might have been teeming with Lice or other creepy crawlies..!

            snip, snip, snip

I don't know what they were thinking back then. The same goes for the vets
who brought back home a stack of swaz rounds they cut from nsdap flags.

I think uniform cut CT are great, they speak to the times. I have a killer Totenkopf uni-cut CT, love it! This Eicke one would be stellar beside it!

                2 fine SS cufftitles there

People need to remember the chances are that the original owner of the tunic was either dead in which case the tunic itself could be soaked in blood and/or worse or the wearer could be alive and taken prisoner and still very much in need of his clothes no matter how lice-ridden they were.

Then there's the issue of where/when it was picked up ... it could have been just after the battle when the victors had only belt kit to carry their own gear let alone any trophies.
