    3 shields - need opinions!

Hello- I just picked up an estate lot of medals. Most of the medals were common (war merit, wound badge, etc.). I am certain that the commons are originals, but there were also these 3 shields. None have backings (at one time they were all mounted in a display case) - none are magnetic. The Krim and Narvik both look pretty good to me, but I'm concerned about the Cholm. Is this the dreaded "helmet" fake? The seller swears that they were bring backs from his grandfather (aren't they all...) - any thoughts on any of the shields?? Thanks

              Hi dkrem1227.......

.......The Cholm is for the dust bin(helmet head fake). To me, both the Krim(a bit worn) and Narvik look good.

You might try comparing the Narvik to the excellent pinned thread in this forum.

                  Thanks

Thanks for your help... it's what I thought too. I'll be posting the Krim and Narvik on e-stand if there is any interest...
