KUBAN - Real and Is Corrosion Removable?

    Hi,

I have been given the opportunity to purchase this Kuban Shield. First is it real, and second, could that corrosion be removed without damaging the shield?

    Thanks
    Pat

I was reading through some other posts and the previous fake that was posted did not have the "-" mark after the letter O in NOWORO. Since the one I posted did have the "NOWORO-" I thought there was a chance it was good. Is the example of what I posted known as the small "B" fake ?

Trying to figure out the tell-tale signs of what a faked Kuban looks like, or the attributes of a good one.

      Thanks

There are several different fakes around and the one shown by you is one of them, "-" or no "-". Search this forum, there is a wealth of information on know originals and fakes

          Flip,

Actually I did read the the threads for KUBAN in the title. In fact that is why I mentioned the hypen mark as a validity test; however, what you just stated just confused me more. From what you just said it is fake because it has the hyphen "-", and from a post I read it said the exact opposite. It stated that the fact that it did not have a hyphen mark after the O was evidence of a fake. Since this specimen has what looks like hyphen mark, doesn't it pass that test? Hence that is why asked is this the small "B".

          Regards,
          Pat
