    estand krimshield

I think this is a bad one (helmet fake) the one with the missing prong, I do not see center lines in the feathers.

      Hi

      Hi

Without much knowledge of the variants of the Krimshields, I think it looks very much like a authentic badge. I would guess, this to be a original... hope someone with more info can add something to this variant.

      Best

I agree, the shield is original.
I think this in fact a quite interesting shield as you normally encounter this type with side tabs.
I already have this type with the prongs in my collection but complete with backing paper which I really can't take of.
On this shield it looks like it is possible to remove the backing so I decided to buy it.
If it is in any way possible to remove the backing without doing any damage than I will post some pictures.

The shield arrived some time ago. The shield turned out to be more "unusual" as I first thought it would be.
Rather than extending this thread I decided to start a new thread on this shield.
Here is the new thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?p=5129409
