I agree, it's an original Krim shield by a currently unknown maker.

I don't agree that some attribute this style to Orth in any way.

The shield is a beautiful original zinc.

              Good......

......Original badge. However, this shield was NOT manufactured by Orth. It is unknown at this time. Tim is correct.

                Hello,

It is called Design Orth. No one says that it is safe Orth!

                Regards Jan

                  Here we go again...

Jan, I respect your opinion so please, show us a good side by side comparison here between this shield and one made by Orth.

Show comparisons between eagles, date numbers, and coastline sections.

I think you'll find little similarities.

Hey, a good opportunity for discussion, so I'll play once you start however, as I have started this topic twice before and no one stepped up with valid arguments for a favorable connection then, I don't feel compelled to start the discussion this time. At least I don't have to listen to someone calling this variety a fake anymore.

                    ......

                    Stay calm Tim

I agree, an original shield but I don't see any resemblance to the F.Orth design which is by far one of the better struck shields.

Although at first I also thought this type was made by Orth.
Compare this type with the golden shield found on Mannstein's uniform and you know they are the same type.

I know for sure that the the only few golden Krim shields weren't made by Orth.

                          Hello Pascal!

When you mind if I posted PIC's of the Mannstein uniform/Krim shield here or, would you prefer I don't?

                            ......

There's a great pic of Mannstein's Krimshield down on the e-stand right now. Would be worth asking the seller for a better pic.
