    Hi Russell,

Nice shield! Some won't like it but, it's an original version and as far as I know, only found in zinc. Congrats!

Erwin, no disrespect here, but you need to stop referring this one with ties to Friedrich Orth as it's not. I know a member on another forum that swears to it, and swears this is acutally an Orth fake, but he has absolutely no proof or valid arguments for these claims.

We just do not need to spread unproven information here.

          Hi Tim

I want to spread false information in any case here, but I am referring to the book by Sascha Weber page 96-99, and since no copy of the speech is,....
The information is so that this sign was made by a manufacturer (W. Hobacher?) in the Vienna area, and the variation is similar to Orth
          regards

            Erwin,

Yes, just take some of that information with a grain of salt. Many references often make such "theories" but, do so on word of mouth by what they overhear others claiming, and never show solid evidence to back up those statements.

This hobby is full of misinformation and we just need to be careful how that information is developed and spread within the collecting community.

The author is a member here and more than welcomed to enter this or any other shield discussion. For some reason, he remains quite absent on this forum and has had several past opportunities to jump in.

This particular Krim shield "comparison" has also been discussed in the past if you search past threads.

            Best,
            Tim
