Unusual Afrika cuff

Just found this one the like of which i have not seen before. It is on camelhair material as to be expected however the edges have silver piping rather than Russian braid and this has been applied much in the same way as a shoulder board or panzer collar tab. The way it has been stitched is actually quite complicated. It has been removed from a tunic and shows wear. I like it a lot- what do you think?

Agree it is an original Ct modified to appear more like an officer's version (as there is no officer's version). Who can say when it was done. These were not worn in Afrika, so it could have been anytime after that. I like it
