Krim shield for review

Here is a Krim I recently obtained. Two observations:
1) The cloth appears to be more of a felt material than wool. Has anyone else seen this?
2) The shield is vaulted, but the plate is not.

Dear Harry,

Yes, soft felt backings are also common. I have no worries about that shield at all.
